Blaming God

Weird things going on with this stamp. The borders look strange. Weird...

Anyways, I used to be one of those people who blamed God for all my problems. But then I decided to look at it from a different angle. It's hard to admit this because we're human, but sometimes our problems are caused by ourselves. We caused our own problems. Other times, it's another person. And still other times, it has to be Satan. God doesn't do things to hurt us, but He just wants to help us in the end where it actually matters.

It's all about personal responsibility. Whose fault is it that you jammed the knife in the toaster and got electrocuted? Do we blame the toaster? Do we blame electricity? Do you blame the water in your body for making you so conductive? Maybe it's your fault for doing what you shouldn't have.

We have a hard time looking at ourselves as the source of a problem, but we need to. If you are causing your own problems, maybe if you look at yourself, you can learn how to stop causing it and the problem might go away. That is God's avenue, I'd bet.

What's the point of all this? The point is that I believe in a God who helps those who TRY to help themselves. If you realize that God isn't the enemy, you might be able to open up to God, who will keep you from hurting yourself.
