Literature Text

Injustice reigns freely, unbounded,
unrestricted, threat'ning our homes.
Our fears are not so unfounded
freedom is in our bones!

When terror reigns on us completely
to those who've stolen and sapped us dry
and those who've ruined us discretely
to them their nation asks why.

Come my fellow countrymen;
we must once more our land secure
the will of the people
heeded forevermore.

Come my fellow countrymen;
now's the time to prepare.
The world watches you and I;
live free or enslaved we'll die!

The battle looms ahead of us all,
and our struggle shall ensue.
Against our foes we will stand tall
and we will raise the flag anew!

The people will be free to labor
without that tyrant's condemnation.
Without fear of their guns and armor
we desire a free nation.

Come my fellow countrymen;
we must once more our land secure
the will of the people
heeded forevermore.

Come my fellow countrymen;
now's the time to prepare.
The world watches you and I;
live free or enslaved we'll die!

Standing 'neath Washington's endeavor
unwavering against the storm.
United we'll all stand together
classes unite; be not torn!

Look up all you men and you women
to see the land given out of love
Remember this my countrymen,
For our help comes from above

Come my fellow countrymen;
we must once more our land secure
the will of the people
heeded forevermore.

Come my fellow countrymen;
now's the time to prepare.
The world watches you and I;
live free or enslaved we'll die!
This is a combination of political and other kinds of poetry that I tried to create into a song. However, I just put it into the "general" category for now. I'm not very good with the categories. :( I tried to give it an "anthem" kind of feel. I worked very hard on this one and I feel rather proud of it. With the right tune, it could be very singable, I think.

Hope you like it.
