If You're Offended by Starlow-FTW If You're Offended by Starlow-FTW
Ladies and gentlemen, my saying has now been immortalized in an impenetrable medium! No, not stone! No, not paper!! Stamp form!

For those of you who know me, this is my bread and butter. Please use if you like!

EDIT: No, I'm not referring to things that are made to thoughtlessly and maliciously offend people. I'm referring to things that aren't there to do that which people overreact about.

It's a series of videos on YouTube done by a bunch of Christian home schoolers.

It all depends on the person on whether what they were offended by. What one may consider offensive, isn't offensive to someone else. Of course there are some things that do seem a bit silly to get offended by but they may have been caused by someone never receiving criticism from others, only praise.

There was a school that told their students to not dress like witches on Holloween because a witch was offended. THAT is a situation where I'd say that witch was doing it wrong.

Now, if there was a tradition where they would have mock witch-burnings... that WOULD be offensive, I'd bet.

Eh I think the witch was taking her religion too seriously. Then again, many people say not to mock someone's religion because they can easily mock yours

Don't people dress like angels on Holloween? I'm not offended despite the obvious Christian roots.

You either have a tough exterior or you know that on Halloween anybody dresses up just for fun. Well except for Michael Myers. He dresses up to kill

I honestly disagree. I respect your stamp, but there are some cases where you are offended even when somethings right. For instance, someone falls down. You help them up, then someone else yells "Your a goody-goody!!!" You might find that offensive, even though you did the right thing.

Yeah, that was meant to just be a jerk and I think that's wrong. What if you were offended because someone fell down in the first place? I know it sounds stupid, but people are offended by the stupidest things.

It doesn't sound stupid at all, many people are offended for no reason. I even admit I can be easily offended sometimes ^_^

Some people are just sensitive and that's fine. Sometimes, however, people's tendency to become offended inhibits my freedom, and that offends me.

I have to say I disagree. There are some definitely offensive things out there, as I'm sure you well know.

Like your signature for example...you do realize that there do exist couples who are unable to have kids even if they were to have sex or straight couples who don't even want to have kids. :|

I know. My dad and stepmother aren't able to, and I certainly am not looking down on them for that. Thankfully, however, that's not what my sig is saying. It's saying male + female equals a baby... and can you think of any babies that have arisen from anything other than the union of male and female sex cells? Nope. I'm sorry if the way babies originate offends you. ;)

Actually it does mean that you're looking down on people who are unable to have kids or don't want them. You're getting the message across that only couples who have babies are recognized as couples.

Might want to either rethink the signature or remove it :|

Ok, you go ahead and tell my dad how much I look down on him. ;) The message is that males and females are biologically designed to work together to produce children, and thus are the only way children can come about, not that it's wrong to not have kids. Honestly there are some days the idea of having kids scares me so much that I debate just increasing my goldfish and herptile collection instead! :giggle:

Sig is staying and not changing, thanks. :)

If'n you say so mate. Can't help but find it funny that you're getting offended in the comments section of this stamp, though. X'D

Kind of like the people who whine on my "stop whining" stamp?

Let her be offended. BAH. There's no pleasing some people.

Never said I was offended. Might want to brush up on your reading comprehension skills. All I did was point out how offensive your signature was.

Yeah, of course, but here's more of what I mean:

Me: Well, 2+2=4, and this can be proven mathematically-
Person: Look at that number. It's racist. You're a racist! You can't prove anything you racist BIGOT BAD PERSON YOU!

If you think 2+2=4 is offensive... you're doing it wrong.

I know that's what you mean, but that's not what's conveyed in the stamp. If you have to add in extra text outside of the stamp to make the stamp say what you want it to, then you're usually "doing it wrong!" XD

Exactly like that! Derpy was great the way she was. The fact that people were offended by her voice and eyes just shows that people have nothing better to do than be offended. Although, her new voice IS cute. :P

I actually have not yet heard her new voice, although it's more a matter of principle than anything, haha. Honestly I thought they could've picked a better voice actor for her from the get-go, but the fact that they changed it because of baseless complaints hurts my ability to appreciate the new one. ;___;

Well, her voice actor thought that Derpy was supposed to be a guy. It was an accident, and she tried to do a boy voice.

Her voice (in this one, look at what they've done to my poor Derpy!): [link]
